Honest and Unbiased
We provide honest, data-backed, and unbiased evaluations of new and old concrete slabs and any moisture issues that exist within a concrete slab. This is provided by certified moisture technicians. Our tests are certified by the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) and would stand up in a court of law if required.
Flooring Insight Ltd currently has the only ICRI Certified Moisture Testing Technician in New Zealand. The list of ICRI certified technicians can be viewed on the ICRI website.
ICRI Certified Regime
Flooring Insight adheres to an international and national concrete moisture testing regime as specified by the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). This is useful for both commercial and domestic projects. The system has been designed to provide clients with the critical information they need to make informed decisions prior to the installation of floor coatings onto concrete slabs. The flooring coatings may include floor leveling compounds, installation of timber flooring, sheet vinyl, vinyl tiles, ceramic and cork tiles, carpet and carpet tiles. This information is usually provided to our clients within 24 hours.
Peace of Mind
Knowing the moisture content in concrete slabs is important to prevent costly flooring failures. Just because a concrete slab has been down for many months, or even years, this does not automatically indicate that the slab is ready to accept any resilient coatings and coverings. New Zealand has one of the highest humidity levels in the world and is known to have moisture issues within its construction industry. It is worth getting the Go/No-Go information before you proceed to give you peace of mind.
Relevant Standards
We are certified in the below ASTM standards:
- ASTM F2170 Relative Humidity
- ASTM F1869 Calcium Chloride
- ASTM F710 Alkalinity and pH Testing
- ASTM F3191 Porosity Testing
- ASTM F2659 Non Invasive
